VCS Emergencies Partnership and London Communities Emergencies Partnership (LCEP) jointly respond to Phase Two report of the Grenfell Tower Inquiry
On behalf of the VCS Emergencies Partnership and London Communities Emergencies Partnership (LCEP), here are our initial thoughts following today’s report into Phase Two of the Grenfell Tower Fire Inquiry.
"Today is another important and very tough day for everyone affected by the Grenfell Tower fire.
"Our partnerships were created after the fire to build understanding and trust between people across the voluntary, community and public sectors, so people are better represented and supported when emergencies happen.
"As we absorb the findings and recommendations of today's report, we are keeping the 72 people who died, and all those living with the impact, firmly in our minds.
“There is a lot to digest but, for us, it's about working even harder as a partnership to make sure people from all parts of our diverse communities have more voice and involvement in decisions that affect their lives and safety, and to influence for quicker action when people speak with urgency and concern.”
Please keep following for more information on the progress we're making, with our partners, in the months ahead. Thank you.
