This report, commissioned by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport explores the lessons learnt throughout the VCSEP’s transition from being primarily focussed on supporting the voluntary and community sector response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic to supporting the voluntary and community sector develop their emergency preparedness approaches and skills.

The evaluation, commissioned by DCMS takes a theory-based, mixed methods approach and aimed to assess the impact of the funding on grant holders, and on people and communities in need (impact evaluation); as well as assessing how well the scheme worked and if it was implemented as intended (process evaluation).
